my friend is due sometime soon... just had her ob appointment and was told the baby was transverse. She had a CS last time and would like a natural birth this time.... any tricks for getting baby in the right position?

OFP (http://www.homebirth.org.uk/ofp.htm) or Spinning babies (http://www.spinningbabies.com/).
All the best for your friend!

I've heard of women wearing tight bike shorts to help shift a transverse baby :shrug
If OFP/Spinning Babies doesn't work, acupuncture is worth a try. I know women who've had success turning breeches, so why not transverse?

See a chiro who specialises in pregnancy - but only if she's 36 weeks +. You didn't say how far along she is, so maybe it's still early days and her ob is being a panic merchant?

Well after researching OFP, spinning babies, some chiro and accupuncture.......
THE BUBBA IS HEAD DOWN!
Her last bubba was a footling breech so fingers crossed for a natural delivery :)

I did recommend the tight bike pants but she thought I was joking :)
