Not to be confused with Earth Hour on Saturday 27th March at 8.30pm, does anyone have any plans to celebrate Earth Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_Day) on Thursday, 22nd of April?
I just came across a couple of sites with some Earth-friendly/aware activities to involve the kidlets:
http://www.planetpals.com/
http://holidays.kaboose.com/earth-day/
and some cool merchandise @ http://shop.cafepress.com.au/earth-day-2010 and http://www.zazzle.com.au/earth_day_2010_bag-149638787846728223
I know every day should really be Earth Day, but I thought it would be a good opportunity to make DD more aware of some issues (beyond deciding what goes in the recycling bin or the compost pile) by doing some fun activities.
Anyone else going to do anything or have any other ideas?
