Thanks Mel. I know everyone's hanging out for somewhere to talk, but the hours Mel's putting in are astounding... Hang in there. xx

Thanks Mel!

In the meantime, I've set up an "invited members only" social group for us sole parents. Let me know if you didn't get an invite and would like one.

I ticked the box that says only members of the sole parents social group can view content, so hopefully that will work.

Is it possible to have a private forum for Mental Health topics members which to discuss - more personal posts than they'd usually share in a public space? Ta.

mama_bel
14-10-2009, 01:57 AM
Thanks for your persistence with the glitches, Mel.

Does anyone have any more requests for private forums? You can post here or PM Mel or I as we're working on this (mostly her, but I try to help, LOL)...

Are there any other forums missing?

´*~·Meje·~*`
14-10-2009, 02:30 AM
For existing suport forums, you can make your join request via your usercp.

I will ned to wait until tomorrow to work on some permissions to ensure that your forums does in fact remain private, so please bare with me until then to have access :)

i am so sorry, Mel. I did not mean to sound like i was nagging! i know you are putting in massive hours on this. I only wanted to find out if they were going to be a month off regardless of creating them (no idea how the software works) cos if i had to wait a month i was going to have to sort something else out!!!

thank you, my friend!!

´*~·Meje·~*`
14-10-2009, 10:40 PM
You're more than welcome Chelle! :D

For the moment we have the 2 private forums, but the apply part is switched off until I sort out some issues. So if you would like access, please contact one of the admins so they can add you manually :) You will also need a PW to access it.

Eilleen
14-10-2009, 11:25 PM
Ah okay, so that's why I couldn't see the how to apply part! Can I please have access to the solo parents forum?

michelle_j_r

Is it possible to have a private forum for Mental Health topics members which to discuss - more personal posts than they'd usually share in a public space? Ta.

Just wondering...
is such a forum on its way, or has it been incorporated into the health support section?

emd
31-12-2009, 09:29 AM
There is a private Health Support forum, which is different to the publicly accessible Maintaining Our Health forum. Is that what you're looking for?

milkymumma
31-12-2009, 01:28 PM
Specifically, I am caring for a partner with mental health concerns, and wondering whether the private health forum would be an appropriate place to seek support with this?

No matter, I will pm the appropriate mod. Should have done that first, duh!

´*~·Meje·~*`
31-12-2009, 04:12 PM
Im not sure how much support you will get in there, as it was requested ages ago, but had never been posted in yet :shrug

Rinelle

I applied to get in (for the same reasons as Milkymumma), but haven't recieved any reply back?

No matter, I shall think of something!

milkymumma
31-12-2009, 04:27 PM
Oh, missed that post, Rinelle. I'm very slow at typing one-handed lol

'k, well I'll apply too, and maybe we can get something happening?
not sure if I am 'old' enough here, though. I mean, in terms of length of IP membership, etc.
are there any minimum requirements?

´*~·Meje·~*`
31-12-2009, 04:34 PM
did you PM the mod R?

Rinelle
31-12-2009, 11:17 PM
No Meje, I haven't. I figured I'd wait till after all the holiday celebrations etc.

´*~·Meje·~*`
31-12-2009, 11:36 PM
ah ok,

Just a reminder to everyone while this thread is active.....if you submit a join request to a private forum, you need to PM the mod of that forum, otherwise no one knows that you have submitted the join request.

Its very frustrating that we don't receive notification of requests - I wish they would add that in!

Thanks Mel... I have done. :)

Ahh, thanks Mel, I didn't realise. I'll PM the mod.

I've only just received some PM's for access to the private health support forum. Hopefully all those who have asked have been contacted & got all the info they need. Please PM me if needed :heart.
