unable to receive email updates

I'm just wondering if anyone would know why I'm not receiving any email updates at all for the threads I've subscribed to? My address is up to date and I've clicked on 'immediate email notification'. I can't figure out why I'm not getting any updates!

may seem like a silly questions...but have you checked your spam folder? is it a free email address like hotmail (they have quite aggressive spam filters, some of which doesn't even make it to your spam folder)

Try adding the ip email address to your address book, and white listing it.

Other thing to consider, is so you get email notifications for PM's? If you are getting these, but not subscriptions, then it may be another issue.

Also check your settings page, and make sure you are subscribed to them. They will be listed under My Subscrptions > List subscriptions.

No, I'm not getting emails for PMs either. I've tried adding the address to my address book, but that doesn't seem to be working either. Can I double check the email address with you? I can't seem to find it on here. I'm definitely subcribed to the threads on my settings page too... hmmmnn :confused1

I've had this problem with a couple of forums, and found that my actual ISP was blocking certain addresses. Made NO sense at all, since both were forums owned by people I knew, and definately weren't spamming.

Well, I've added the email to my contacts etc and changed my spam filter so it lets through everything and I still haven't been receiving notifications! I'm really stuck here so I think I'll just have to come back here frequently and check for updates... hmmn

Im not sure why your not getting them then - did you have an issue singing up when you first joined? With receiving the activation email that is....

ahh! found the problem :)

You did have issues singing up, and I manually approved you. When I did that the system didn't change you to a fully registered member, so you were in a usergroup that cant receive emails :)
