Ok so ive just been able to get back into breastfeeding after some medical issues and all of a sudden Mr2 has decided he wants BM as well which im cool with even though he was never BF himself and has been weaned off cow milk for about 6mths.
Bub is about 7mths old and im really struggling with her to latch as she has been off the boob for a while and on EBM but does anyone know or can explain a way to tandem feed a 2 almost 3 year old and a 7mth old laying down.
This seems really hard for us and when i finally get bub to latch DS is uncomfortable and wants to move.
I really dont want to stop Mr2 from jumping on when ever he wants cause im trying to build my supply up for basiclly nothing and we really need the stimulation he is providing.
Any and all advice welcome.
Oh we try laying down cause this is the only position comfortable for bub to feed in.

I would probably try to feed them at different times, initially, so you can really focus on their latch. I only fed my toddlers lying down because they were so big for my lap that nothing else was comfortable.
Best wishes and yay for being able to bf again!

Firstly - yay for boobies!
Secondly, I never managed to feed both of mine laying down, my boobs don't point in the right direction, however I know of a mum who can feed one either side while she lies on her back. The only other thing I can think of is feed the younger one from the bottom breast while toddler kneels behind you and latches onto the top breast, but if learning to attach is an issue, I'd not do that - one at a time until they're both doing it correctly.
The only way I could do both was with an elbow pillow in my lap and one either side with their heads together (football hold). It was lovely when they'd look at each other and play with each other's hair and fingers :)

mmm, I never mastered feeding both while lying down either, and it wasn't for lack of trying!
probably the most successful was with the toddler lying on the bottom with the baby lying on top of them, but it's certainly not an easy way, cos you end up having to support the weight of baby's head, which defeats the purpose of lying down to feed!
my preferred way to feed was with bub on right boob, slightly upright with legs straddled over my left leg.
then toddler with bum beside me on the couch to the left, feeding off the left boob in kinda football hold.
we had a corner couch, and sitting in the corner, leaning slightly to the toddler's side to get the boob to the right height helped support the weight of both of them.
i fed laying down all the time - xanthia would only feed laying down. the bigger child would come over my top side. or flat on my back with the baby on a pillow to bring him/her up to height.

I didn't feed mine laying down either... I got into a big comfy chair and just had one on each side (DH now calls me the booby lady)
