Some of you may remember my thread at old IP about wanting ti stop the jiggles? Well I can't find any of it on sir google so thought I 'd better start another one which actually works out really well because.....
I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer.
So tonight I have my first official Personal Training session, I met M on Monday and he showed me the ropes of some of the machines, and things (gave him the shits on one machine so he kicked me off cos he couldn't stand watching me do the excercise so freaking badly...off to a great start I am :rofl)
I am thinking about starting a photo journal too... I know I have a beautiful body, I'm quite slim, just a bit jiggly in certain areas, and my butt seems to be inching closer and closer to the back of my knees :blink but I am also very unfit for someone who used to spend 80 mins running aroound a soccer pitch without any problems to someone who cannot run at all this is something I want to improve...anyway the reason I am considering a photo journal is not to embarrass myself (cos I know I have nothing to be ashamed about jiggly bits and saggy butt and all :))or demean my body but to track the weekly changes working out will do to my body....We'll see
Anyhoo so I'm off to the gym at 7 tomight for an hour session with M who has informed that I am not going to like him after it which I'm a bit sad about cos I quite like him already:unsure :2lol
so I will report back here when I return from yonder workout and fill y'all in!!!

How'd you go? I'd LOVE a personal trainer! I used one before when I was a member of a gym, but admittedly it was a bit hard to concentrate 'cos he was just too cute! :2lol

Nice butt..... but apart from that he's not really my type....ooooh you mean the workout :rofl
Went reallybloody sore now though will elaborate in the morning have some very unimpressed kids ATM :2lol

I wish i could afford a gym or personal trainer - I want to feel healthier and fitter and i definitey need the motivation (bit of a procrastinator :-( )
My hubby loves my jiggly bits (oops too much info!) so it's not about body image its about feeling healthier - any tips???!!!!!!!!!

i know about jiggly bits. i lost a bit of weight in the last few weeks and jiggly bits are embarrassing. my lovely daddy has bought me a gym membership and both of us going twice a week. so we have inspiration to go together.

Yup that's right, if you can't aford a gym membership htere's plenty of things you can can do at home. When all this started I borrowed a book from our library called 'getting firm' (hence the thread title ;)) it was really good had lots of different excercises for both men and women and the instructions were really easy to follow (pictures were hilarious cos it was from the 80's)
I also found walking really makes a massive difference I was walking every day to kinder all up it was about 9ks a week I felt great but then we moved here and it is waaaaay to far to walk.
I'm soooo sore today but it's a good sore, we worked pretty hard and I was surprised at just how much Icould do and how far I would go to prove to my PT I'm not a wimp :2lol He said alot of mums are surprised at how strong/fit they actually are, he said alot of mums don't realise they have there own personal gym with there kids :2lol
So all in all I feel good sore but good, and am so glad I decided to bite the bullet and do it!!!!
I will go backon saturday for another session after work woot

Sounds fabbo Kyls - I love the pain/burn the next day. It hurts like hell but you know it's for a good cause!

Oh it hurts alright my right arm has been a bit bung all day but I had a freezing cold shower and it's all good now!!!

So the Saturday session was cancelled cos we booked it ouside of the gym's opening hours :rofl
But had another session today which included being weighed and measured and all the other stuff, feeling really good... I can row 500 metres in 2 mins and 40 secs Woot!! :laugh
M's figured out the best way to keep me going is by chatting to me rather than counting how many reps I have left (who'd've thought my chattiness coould elad to tighter abs :rofl) so we tested my fitness levels and I'm surprisingly a little bit fitter then I expected which is a bonus...still scared I'm gonna go flying off the treadmill though (it nearly happened today)
Have another session booked for tomorrow I reckon I'll be sore when we finish but I'll have wednesday off then another on Thursday

I would love to have the time for a PT- sounds awesome, and I really need some motivation for this sort of exercise. I do love my pilates though, can't wait until I am able to get back into those classes!

It's only been this year I've been able to do it as Hailey is at kinder so that's when I go and They have an awesome childcare there as well so Ben goes there for an hour and Iwork out it's awesome!!!
I've never done pilates but it's something I've always wanted to try
I've just started pilates a few weeks ago, actually had a class tonight. OMG why does our instructor make it looks so effortless? It is bloody hard work!! And I have definitely been feeling it the next day ( and sometimes even the day after that)

I love it because it works on core strength- my weakest area! Plus the flexibility part is great. It is gentle on the joints but SO effective. I am starting to outgrow my clothes right now...need to get back into something like this asap!

Had another workout today he really worked me hard, had me on the excercies ball, and then the 'hoop of death' (said in a really deep scary voice that makes you go oooooooh :rofl) which is basically a giant rubber band that goes around my wasit at one end and his at the other and then I run dragging his butt behind me :2lol
Did some sit ups which felt awesome to do!!!! and then these other things which i can't remember the name of but I got to do a toyota jump at the end of each one...
And of course a workout session wouldn't be any fun without me making a fool of myself (I know you've all been waiting for it :rofl) soo crouching down (imagine a runner getting ready for a race) and have to alternate which foot is forward by jumping (really hard to explain)so all going well right up until my shoe goes flying off...then the other one, so I thought bugger it I'll finish this set off without shoes crouch down alternate legs and BAM my socks slip on the carpet and I smack my face on the floor...luckily no carpet burn!!!
Day off tomorrow then another session on Thursday!! I'm loving it
:rofl at the faceplant.
My butt cheeks are sore after pilates last night. Didn't help much playing tennis this morning!

Been out of action at IP for the last week so have'nt updated.
I'm doing really well and am hardly sore anymore which is good I was on the rowing machine today and did 500metres in 2mins 12 secs which is 30 seconds quicker then when I started woot!!
Starting to really see some definition in my legs and arms which is awesome too
Oh and just one more reason to brag M is totally pro homebirth!!! Woot!! he's only a young'in and whilst I was lifting weights on some scary looking machine we got to talking about birth and homebirth and he was all like' that's bullshit they shouldn't ban homebirth I mean seriously it's your body' and I piped in 'yeah and my vagina'....awkward silence...it's easy to forget that not everyone in the world is a member of IP :rofl

at least when you slipped on the carpet u didn't get ur pants caught under ur foot and ur pants fell off too revealing ur holy underwear :laugh:rofl. Sorry if no-one gets my holy underwear joke but Kyls will know what i'm talking about. :kiss

Wow I haven't posted in here since last month bahahahah oh I'm so funny!!
Well had a workout/measure yesterday and I've lost two kilos M seemed really pleased that all his hard work has paid off I was too busy trying not to vomit on him..still feeling a wee bit queasy :2lol also discovered I have tiny arms and one thigh is 3cms bigger then the other :blink oh and my legs are really white :rofl
I get really nervous when M starts a sentence off with 'oooh you're gonna hate me after the next task' :2lol
Have another session tonight cos I missed out on Monday's so will report back here and let you all know how it goes

Ummm wow it's been awhile since I've posted in here!!!
So I've had to drop my three sessions a week down to one but M has been really good and is giving me a free a session every week cos he's cool like that
Anyhoo we did some measurements last night and I have lost cm's EVERYWHERE!!!
Also my water level has risen by 4% and my body fat level has dropped by...ummm I can't actually remember by how much oops but I'M HEALTHY!!!! Yay Me!!!
*does a little happy healthy dance*
M is going on holidays for two weeks but has written up a workout plan for me to do while he's away...I'm hoping a friend will be able to come with me when I go cos I don't really wanna go by myself....
