Im not sure if this is the right place to put this but I just have to share this - its freaked me right out (especially after the little baby drowning in the pram a couple of years ago :()

A 6mo baby boy escaped injury (or, death) today as his three wheeler pram rolled out in front of a train in Melbourne. His pram was pushed for 30m before the train stopped. He escaped with minor injuries because he was strapped in...

Looks like angels were watching over him because he only has a bump to the head.

Please, remember to ALWAYS put your prams brakes on! Even if you take your hand off the pram for one second - that is all it takes!

ps - Ive posted this on a couple of forums I visit so if you've already read it please dont get annoyed:wink_smile

Yeah there's been alot of talk about ths lately in Melbourne so much so that I believe that kidsafe are planning on launching a cmpaign warning parents to treat train stations as 'swimming pools' i.e be just as vigilant. There have been lots of news reports about babies not being strapped in and falling out of there prams and in between the platform and the train, so landing on the actual tracks it's freaking scary stuff!!!!

I caught a train recently and noticed that the gap between the train and platform id huge!! easy enough for an adult to slip into let alone a young child (I was terrified so was holding onto Ben with an iron grip)
