I started watching that about a week ago, but got interrupted about 3 mins in. ThanKs for the reminder. I've had a hold on his book from the library for aaaaaages - seems to be very popular!

I love his theories.....
have you seen the one about how school only rewards kids who are good at academics.. he says is it like telling Olympic athletes that they can only compete in 5 sports. I don't do it justice... let me find it.

I can't find it.. damn.. but basically he said that schools focus on a few academic subjects. Science, Math, History, English, Social Studies Whatever.. but what of the kids who are great at problem solving? leading? dance? theatre? music? social interaction? networking? whatever.. they are at a disadvantage because their skill is not valued.
he says it would be like holding the Olympics but only valuing 5 sports... say Long Jump, 500 meter Dash, Archery, cycling.
so all the Olympians who do bob sledding, gymnastics, hockey, or anything else.. would have to compete in the 5 Olympics or not compete at all. How ridiculous.
