I changed my primary kids to the school in town, instead of keeping them in the close school... which technically isn't close because I can't get them their cause I don't drive and there is no bus.

BUT now they can catch the bus, it is right across the road from Benji's preschool, and the big kids school isn't far from their either :D

Another decision I made and stuck to. It is a step in the right direction :)

Yay for you! Do they like their new school?

We don't start back in NSW until the 19th.

It will be a HUGE step for them, they have only ever been to small schools... the first school out west was 14 kids, the one here they are leaving has 24 kids... the new one has 3 Yr1 classes, and 3 Yr5 classes!

But I know it is the right thing for them. J10 has never had kids his own age to play with at school, they are always older or younger. And T7 needs to work on her social issues... they have the same school councellor which is great, I really like her and I know she will keep her eye on them.

And best of all I can do groups etc at school because I can get there no worries :) I have really missed being a part of their schooling since we have lived here.

Yes they are counting down the days... so I guess that's a good thing!
T7 is looking forward to going to a school that has a tunic as the uniform, not just short & a shirt! LOL

Well today is day one at the new school. I caught the bus with them yesterday to go get their uniforms, and then again this morning - the first official day.

J10 had 2 boys from his class on the bus who slole him away as soon as we got off the bus. T7 was abit clingy, but her teacher surrounded her with girls from her class, and T7 toddled off... Gosh I hope she is okay. I explained to her teacher about her anxiety and shyness with people she doesn't know... it's so scary leaving her somwhere new. I loved her teacher at the old school, she was so in tune with T...

I know she will love it once she makes some friends.. it's just really nerve racking atm... I can only imagine how she was feeling when I left her :(
