I'll never forget the excitement of Ollie's first Xmas! He was 11 months (being a January baby) and he was old enough to be really engaged with the whole celebration...
(he still loves a party! :2lol)
I made him this baby version of a Christmas pudding to munch on while we enjoyed the traditional brandy soaked one that Mum made! So I thought I'd share it with all the other Mum's that have a special first Christmas this year.
75 ml water
Half a tbsp oats
Half a small apple (peeled) very finely chopped
1 fresh apricot (or 4 dried apricots) very finely chopped
Half a dry fig finely chopped
pinch of cinnamon
2 tsp sultanas
Place all in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat, simmer for approx 5 minutes.
(Make sure you stir becuase the sugar in the fruit can make it stick)
Puree if you have a blender or push it through a sieve. add more water if you want it thinner for a smaller baby.
I used all organic ingredients for ours and it was a big hit!
Merry 1st Xmas to all the gorgeous bubs out there.
