Great thread! With only a month to go, SEQ water will be ringing me shortly to confirm bookings. They will want to free up the sites I have saved for us that have not been booked formally by you guys. To make my job easier, can you please finalise your bookings by fully paying this week. If you haven't booked yourself in under our tentative bookings, this week is the week to do it. After this you may get in for the weekend, but no guarantee.

nah, Jodie. Shouldn't need to. Especially cos there is more than one of us coming solo (with kids) and i think the price is based on two adults per site.

I just found out it's the first game of footy that weekend :( So we'll either be there Saturday morning for one night (if the game is on Friday) or Friday night for one night (if the game is early Sunday) or for two night but leave early Sunday (if the game is later on Sunday) bloody football.

OK, So I'm debating about coming up for a day maybe over night on my own, but am wondering how I will get to and from the airport, is it to far to cab it? or is there someone who luffs me who would drop me off/ pick me up, I'll fill your car up wth petrol....or is there anyone else who will be hiring a car at Brissie airport who has a spare seat for my bum?

I changed the thread title, cos I kept getting my dates confused got a whole lot happening in March this year...

Anyway a quick look and I can land in Brissie at 8:15 am on the Sat with Tiger, and fly out that arvo at 7:40pm with Jetstar for a little over $100...well worth it IMO.... LMK if someone could hook a sister up with some wheels...and a driver :2lol

it's a bit of a drive out to the dam though, Kyls. by the time you landed and got out there you'd only have a few hours and have to get back to check in again.... can you stay overnight? i'd have tent space but not a much of a spare mattress.

I am coming just booked site 35 for fri and sat night.....the chicky on the phone said that they may extent pay til 2 weeks before cause of all the flooding.....bonus!

I cmn offer a lift to and from the airport anytime before Friday 3pm and after Sunday evening. I can also offer a bed for anyone needing one before or after the camp. Unfortunately, I can't offer anyone a lift to Wivenhoe as our car is full of kids. Anyway, PM me.

I can offer up a sofa bed here. My house is small, I dont have a lot of room, but I can fit one and at most two people here. Im about half way between airport and Wivenhoe. I dont have enough room in my car to offer transport though.

we're all set with our camper trailer. We're comeing friday and leaving monday but have a half day committment on saturday (friends baby's first birthday) but will otherwise be there. Do we have an 'agenda' for birthdays, buttonways and other activities?

Jill, we may not need a large communal tarp. There are plenty of trees for natural shade and there is also a large shelter shed with BBQ and tables and chairs up near the amenities block.
