For those of you that don't read the Blooming Bellies thread, Merlion announced her little man's arrival! :hyper

She says:
Well some of u might know or might know but our little man decided it was time to be evicted from his warm comfy home last ties. Liam Robert C..... Arrived last Tues with some dramas at 36 weeks and 4 days. He couldn't maintain his oxygen levels or his blood sugar levels and had to be in a humicrib for 18 hrs if his life. Spent the next day with me (after I spent majority of the night crying because I couldnt get up & be with him as I had a c-section) and then due to him still not able to stabilize his sugar levels landed up in PMH (children's hospital) in NICU. Long story short he will be there for s few more days. Will write more after I have a nap as I have spent the whole day there today. His stats areDate: 14 June 2011Time: 12:27pm WSTWeight: 4280gms or 9pdz 7ozLength: 50cm

Thanks girls. Today I'm physically exhausted but yesterday I was physically, mentally & emotionally exhausted but after some semi good news I'm very optimismtic and now just physically exhausted. I haven't had a cuddle with him for 4 days due to his tummy tube which he tried to rip out today & if he did he could bleed internally so we need to be very careful about moving him with it.

Well after no cuddles with big little man I walked into ICU yesterday (wed) to the dr's having a pow wow over his "nest" deciding he will have as many breastfeeds as possible but have his tummy line still in as his sugar levels were still low and reduce his glucose levels. Omg put him to the boob even before I could touch the nipple to put near his mouth he just attached by himself and started sucking like a pro. I was so delighted he even did the open wide take the whole nipple in his mouth thing. We had a slight set back this afternoon when they reduced the glucose concentrate from 20% to 12.5% concentration but it's looking good. Tummy tube comes out tomorrow & then we just have to wait and see. Once I figure out how to put s photo from my iPhone onto here I will put a pic of him.

I have been so slack but Liam was released 3 July. He's going really well and is full breast fed. He sleeping alot better now and feeds like a trouper. Well everyone didn't believe me that daniel look the same. middle photo Liam at 5 weeks and Daniel at 5 weeks on the left and right. OMG except Daniel being a bit fairer you would think it was the same child. I still have the rocker but not the same outfit otherwise i would have dressed Liam in it.
