After years of fighting to keep my kids unvaxed it looks like we might be going to get them done. Looks like we have the possibility of moving to Asia next year and we;ll be visiting Hong Kong in September. But kids are not vaxed. There is no way we can move over there without getting them vaxed but some of them are really nasty ones and I know how sick they made me. My 7 year old had bad reactions to some of her baby ones (polio etc which is why I stopped vaxxing) and to say I am stressed about the whole thing is an understatement. I'd be happy with homeopathics but no way that will be accepted by the work place or DH. So..I'm not really asking should we get it done. It's non negotiable. But I need some reassurance that I won't completely screw up their systems....

Oh wow, lots of changes and potential stress & excitement coming up for you. Go gently :heart
I know when I was looking at papers around vax I found quite a lot about delayed vax and the huge impact that had. Japan delays until age 2 - apparently there is some major change in the immune system before that.
Maybe a naturopath/homeopath could help you strengthen their systems before the vax?

yeah I read that about Japan and think they are on to something.
yeah my friend had a naturopath help her with her boys get through theirs and it seemed to work. they are fine. hugs.

How much does the Hong Kong trip mean to you? Is that the only place you're planning to visit where the vax are compulsory?
Interesting that you say it's not negotiable, but call the thread "Travelling with unvaxed kids". Are you hoping to find a compromise or way out?
I'm sorry A, I know how important this issue is for you, and how hard you work to keep your girls from chemical harm. :(

Hmm...I probably worded all that quite badly L. Rose hasn't been sleeping much! What I mean is, if we do move over there we won't be allowed to work where we will be with them unvaxed. The HK trip is to check out the work place, have interview number two etc, so yes, we do have to go for that. And....it is different to here, so many more people, much higher incidences of various illnesses, some of which I am happy for them to get, others no. Jap enceph for example. So....it's difficult! I guess I really just want to know how I can get them through them with no lasting effects. I know huge doses of vitamin C are good, but I am limited as they react to it! I have an appointment with my homeopath next week. It just stresses me.

Oh, that makes more sense. So you're looking to manage the risks associated with the vaccinations and their adjuvants? I've read something about using clay at the injection site when vax are compulsory but not wanted. Not sure what that means if you're hoping for some form of immunity, though. I do wonder whether anything done to decrease potential side effects might also decrease effectiveness of the shots. The diseases you're concerned about - how effective are the vaccinations?

[Pretty effective as far as I've read. They'd have to get all the 'childhood ones' too which I'm not happy about. I'd rather they got natural immunity from those. That's an interesting point Lu, about possibility of decreasing the effectiveness. As far as I know, no. Notif homeopathics are used for it. So says my homeopath anyway! Not sure about other treatments though.

are you able to space them?? If I needed to vax mine (well, the twins are vaxxed pretty much, but not my youngest) I wouldn't want to do it all at once..
that being said, I feel a lot better about vaxxing him now that his immune system has had a few years to develop..

Your homoeopath will be able to give the girls Thuja to counter some of the effects, or may have something more specific if required. I know another family who went through the same thing with a work transfer to Andorra (between France & Spain). Vax was required for them to be able to apply for residency & for the kids to go to school, so they went ahead with it. It broke her heart, but thankfully the girls are fine and as others have mentioned, they were at least a little older when it all happened.

I hope your homeopath and GP/vax provider can work together to schedule all the required vax in between now and then - spaced and not too many all-in-one type shots... I would feel awful if faced with this situation, but glad for the delayed vaccinations and if they were vaccines I believed were effective, I'd focus on the protection rather than the ickiness. xx

I just read (and reposted in this area - maintaining our health) a very interesting article about vaccine damaged and more importantly about a test you can get to make sure their intestinal health is optimal at the time of vaccinating your kids to avoid vaccine damage. There is stuff you can do to get it there if it isn't too. All about gut health, intestinal health.
Anyway I posted it. Maybe it applies to you - maybe it doesn't but it rang some bells for me and thought others would enjoy the read as well.
Maybe your naturopath knows about it?
