Ok, this may read like a bit of an advertising feature but I just can't believe how good it is and had to share.

Ever since the birth of my first I have had a Cystocele (bladder prolapse) which no amount if pelvic floor exercises has helped. I even went to see a pelvic floor physio, spent months doing 60 squeezes a day holding for 10seconds with no real change. After my second it was even worse and I had a small rectocele too (bowel prolapse). Anyway, I stumbled across the Hab-it DVD in my search for a non-operative solution and noticed an incredible difference after doing the workouts just twice! It has only been a week but I am starting to look normal again :). I cant believe it has happened so quickly. Anyway, I highly recommend it for anyone with pelvic organ prolapse (I don't have incontinence so can't speak for that but it is meant to be good for that too). I'm just so happy to look and feel almost normal again.

I don't have what you have but I have incontinence and kegals don't work. Is there a link or can I just google Hab?

I bought it off Amazon. I don't know what makes it so effective but maybe it's the way it strengthens all the muscles involved in the pelvic floor like legs, back and abdomen or maybe it's the way the kegels are done? Anyway it's so easy to do (just 15-30mins three times a week) so worth a try.

I know that kegals don't work on their own.. they make it worse if you don't work the other side of that muscle... (like by tightening the kegal muscle and not the other one it makes the other one weaker and more incontinence) an article I read a while backsuggest Squats and the other side of it.. but I've not found relief by adding squats.. maybe I'm doing them wrong?

Flat feet (or aiming for it with something under your heels) and keeping the curve in your lower back? They didn't do much for me either.

That's great Astra! Must be such a relief.

I don't have prolapse or incontinence, but my pelvic floor is very weak so maybe I should take a look anyway. I fear it will catch up with me one day, you know.

I will be looking in to this. I have a mild prolapse from whooping cough, pretty much no tone in the pelvic floor and no amount of kegals are working. Thanks Astra :)

I'm keen to look into it, because after having 6 children, I'm thinking thatanything I can do to tone/strengthen my pelvic floor for the long term is good! :) Anyone got a link?

Is this (http://www.pelvicfloorexercise.com.au/products/habItpelvicfloor.htm) it?

And because Aussie pelic floors are different,

"Some exercises on the DVD may therefore differ from current Australian recommendations including:

Transverse Abdominis indraw exercises and plank exercises would often not be recommended by Australian practitioners in the early stages of a pelvic floor strengthening program, as they are understood to increase intra-abdominal pressure and potentially create extra pressure on a weak pelvic floor.

Wide leg Samurai squats are generally not recommended in Australia for women with a compromised pelvic floor.
Tightening adductor (inner thigh) muscles during a pelvic floor contraction is generally not recommended in Australia, and adductor exercises with a band and ball are not understood to strengthen the pelvic floor.
Current Australian recommendations for pelvic floor exercise repetitions are 3x8-12 reps each day"

LOL :)

Yes, that's it. Funny :D. I had/ have a seriously compromised pelvic floor but there have only been improvements even with those exercises. I guess you could start with the first and second workouts which are easier and don't contain any of those things and build up to the third and fourth.
