I'd love to see everyone's tattoos. Especially yours (can't remember IP name) Aleza, I've never seen it fully I don't think.

Everyone has probably seen mine enough by now, but I'd better start us off.

This is my most recent of three.

It didn't work

Not sure if this will work but these are my tatts.

I don't like my back piece and I am wanting to redesign it. I am thinking a peacock, koi or I was thinking of getting a tree that I have designed but I am not sure just how big I want to go.
(I was 18, 19 and 20 when I got these)

When we buy pegs Merc, you will have to show me how to do it.

Assuming they are all in places you can take a photo of KA ;)

I'm really considering a tattoo in the same spot at yours on your arm Sarah. I'm a bit odd about it.....my arm feels like it should already have it there, so when I look my arm looks like there is something missing.

I think I want a sisterhood knot in pink. I really should be find something a little more challenging though.

Ive had my disign sitting here for 8 months, nearly 9. It was supposed to be done or my birthday but that didn't happen. Then a friend was supposed to do it, I did a trade and everything but it never happened.
Now Im thinking as soon as we have $$ again Im just going to take it into a shop in the city and have it done.

Lovely tats :D Particularly KA's

I have a small red heart on my left breast near the arm. Nothing particularly exciting but I like having it there :D I did want to get something bigger and more interesting but I should have done it before I got together with dh. He doesn't like the idea of them. Though he does like the heart.

I was thinking under my arm, and then ribs. I've seen some nice ones along that just under bust line.

My current pet project is a mermaid and baby on the upper outside of my leg: the bumpy, veiny cellulity bit.

SpringMumma

For my next one I want "trust" in cursive on the inside of my left wrist. And I'd also really love my daughter's fingerprints somewhere (don't really know if this is possible, or if it is, if it'd last). And I'd also like to add more to my star trail on my ribs - just not sure exactly what yet.

I guess all this would've been easier if I hadn't stopped dating a tattooist...

Will post a photo once I find one..

michelle_j_r
02-11-2009, 11:00 PM
if you want fingerprints you'd need some skin that was not going to stretch or move about too much or after a bit it will all just blur together (from my experience).

SpringMumma
02-11-2009, 11:05 PM
That's what I'd be scared about Chelle - after a few years it'd just look like some manky blob. I could get 5 wk old DD1's handprint, and 11 day old DD2's footprint - but they're rather big in comparison to my short-arse body.

Phoenix

Wouldn't that be like having a husband that's a tradesman?

I tend to wonder, if men look at women and imagine them naked, do tattooists then look at naked women and imagine them tattooed??

Heres mine! I need to go and have it finished off...it needs a re-colour + some of the finer detail finished off too.

I have a couple of others in the pipeline, but still settling on design!

The one in my avatar, is what I wanted on by back, just below my neck, but too detailed...and simpler versions just didnt do it for me YK?

Here is a picture of my first tattoo, it is a work in progress! This is the result after three and a half hours with the tattoo artist. The three names are my sons, eldest at the bottom.

I chose a growing vine to symbolize my growth as a woman as I have welcomed each baby boy. They are from my body, I nurtured and nourished them. I'm already planning on extending this tattoo with two intertwined serpents or two fish somehow (hubby and I are both Chinese year of the snake and are both pisces).

I will post another pic when it is finished (sorry that pic is a little blurry, I had to re-size it to fit!)

Mercurious
08-09-2011, 06:38 PM
Yes the dragon is on my outter thigh between where my undies finish, and were my shortest shorts finish. It means I don't have half a dragon out when I am wearing shorts, but I can show people without feeling I'm flashing. Except in winter...when I have jeans on. I'm planning on getting a waratah on the other side. It's not a spot I'm particularly fond of, bumpy and veining, so it's nice to have something there I like looking at.

I think it's very cool that the three of us are dogs too, my ex was a goat living with three dogs, no wonder he felt threatened.

I remember you having more Ethereal. Did you have flowers or a vine somewhere?

I'd love to see you IRL again.

I also have a star on my foot, and a butterfly that looks pretty dodgy now.

I need my butterfly added to, but it's on my saggy baggy tummy. I also need my Thumper recoloured, he is about 12 now and they really should be touched up every 10 years.

I might track down the photo of my waratah. It's my next big one, and going on my other thigh to remind me where I came from (NSW) and to cover up all those other bumps and veins.

I see you Bubbalove...and I want more photos of your tattoos.

The best tattooists seem to have a long waiting list. If it's something simple you shouldn't have to wait that long. But for my waratah I want to go to someone who I have seen do some good realism and shading.

Mercurious

I think it was this one (http://www.monogram-designstudio.com/?gclid=CIjrueukl6sCFUhU4godJWtvjA). It lets you design, but you are supposed to pay to enable it to be downloaded. So, you have to get a bit creative if you don't want to pay.

The design I want is a cascade of shooting stars, one big blue onewith a V in it and two smaller ones with a H, and a B in them, the one with the H I'd like to be purple and the B one green, and somewhere strewn in between I'd like the dates 15/08/2001, 29/11/ 2004 and 29/08/2006... anyone got some spare to create this for me?????

Don't ask us to design it. Ask someone whose tattoo you love who did theirs and go ask that artist to draw it for you. She or he will come up with something totally beyond what you could ever have imagined. Tattoists HATE having a newbie come with their art for them to copy. Really, trust them to do a great design. THAT is what you pay them for. Not just the ink.
