Ha, basically they are saying that the more diverse and healthy food a mother eats while pregnant and breastfeeding, the more likely the child is to enjoy those tastes when he/she is older :)

Lol, thanks!! Ok, so um, kinda logical??

But in saying that. My aunt loooooved pine nuts when pregnant, they were here craving. Her son now has a (um, what's the right word?) adverse reaction to them. Cannot go near them without a severe reaction. I wonder how that fits the theory? Or it might not. I should just go read it...but my head is spinning trying to keep up with here.

Interesting topic thanks!

Mum had cravings for strawberry milkshakes & prawn cocktails when preg with me, and given my love for strawbs & prawns, I think there could be something in that ;)

I remember reading some research a few years ago about the ability of breastfed babies to develop broader taste preferences than those fed ABM, due to the breastmilk having alot of flavour variety. I have not heard about taste preferences developing during fetal development, so I'll be really interested to read the article (after the boys have been bathed and are going to bed :P)
