Clove oil & mould
Can someone talk me through using clove oil to get rid of mould? The place we are about to move into has quite a bit so I want to tackle it over the coming weeks but am not sure how. I know clove oil is a good mould killer, but how do I use it? TIA

Re: Clove oil & mould
scrub the area first with bicarb and vinegar. then i put a teaspoon of clove oil into a litre spray bottle of water. Spray onto the mold and leave for 20 mins. then scrub, and reapply clove oil mix.
the clove oil helps kill the mold and it does go liughter in colour, but never bright white like chemical mold stuff ( because that stuff bleaches it white!)
repeat applications every time you clean should help in the long run.....

I dump a heap of bicarb on the shower floor, spray surfaces with vinegar, then wet cloth, dip in bicarb and scrub. If there's tough soap scum, I might put a lot of bicarb on the glass then spray with vinegar again and scrub. I don't know how others do it...

Ooooh, we knew about vinegar but not clove oil. Is the vinegar not enough of a cleaner/preventer on its own?

I've had poor results with vinegar alone, so bought some clove oil the other day to try. Fingers crossed!

Oooh, let us know how it goes! I've never had much luck with vinegar on its own either.
