Pie? I make a pastry base with a little butter and flour mixed with leftover rice. Works really well. I used it for our quiche tonight. Or a sang choi bao type thing? Shep pie? Spring rolls?

the plan at the moment is pizzas with homemade dough and sauce. Boys are a bit clingy today so we'll see how it goes . . .

We had a leftover buffet: curry and rice or jacket potatoes and salads and miscellaneous bits from the fridge. All eaten, cleaned up and remaining leftovers to the chook tin. My fridge has space in it again!

Despite the clinginess I made the pizza dough and sauce. E had a wow of a time mouli-ing the tomato sauce and keeping me up to date with the rising of the pizza dough "getting bigger Mummy!"

Note to self - next time clingy children surround me, get them to work in the kitchen!!!!

    Sounds lovely emd.
MIL invited us over for a roast, so lucky as I just went to the fridge and had nothing to complete a meal.

It's already made: veg lasagne done with home made pasta. I made three! One for us, one for BIL and one for Lisa's family.

Well we were meant to have pumpkin curry but I realised I used the pumpkin up! So then we thought to have fish, but it wasn't defrosted. And then I figured I'd make pasta we missed out on the other night when we had leftovers, but it was a TMX dish and there was lightening everywhere so I had the TMX unplugged (we have terrible power issues when storms are about). So we had baked beans on toast. I did do dessert though, as I'd prepped it this morning - rhubarb crumble. YUM.

last night was salmon and potato cakes, tonight is still up in the air. I've got about 300g of fresh ricotta to use up, so any suggestions welcome!

Yum, ricotta. Spinach rolls? Ravoilli? Salad of some sort?
